I know your point is to get more of the forum active, but unless I'm looking to buy something, asking a question, or offering advice (which is not much) I really do not like to post. There is a ton of west coast related posts that have no significance/relevance to me like meets, b/s/t, fab shops, local pickup stuff. etc. We can all agree that there is B.S. mixed in almost every thread, so trying to get more people to post regardless of knowledge base, means we will likely have to search through more pages of threads with zero content. For newbies, the search bar is your best friend first, then ask. Generally the forum regulars have helped answer my questions quite quickly. limiting the number of posts may discourage help. Unless they switch to PM's. just my 0.02.

He was joking. The original post was in 2008. It was a dig at the Carolina Alliance, a group of chatty good-ole-boys.

Well sorry then. Didn't look at the dates. Jokes an sarcasm do not get conveyed well over the Internet.

Just a bunch of old crap
I blame the funny pictures and WTF threads for the high post count by few contributors. Thousands of pics posted in those by only about 5 different people total.

Isocoee if you looked through the funny pictures thread and deleted the bs like "lol", etc as you suggested in the original post, I really believe you could reduce it by half if not more.

The smilies, lol's and such were bad enough, but the endless quoting of long stupid posts was beyond moronic. I suppose it was hilarious to the 15 year old 4chan escapee's who were doing it, but it was a gigantic pain in the ass for people like myself on a slow Internet connection.

He did say he has a slow internet connection... Maybe he's still loading the 2008 posts. He doesn't even realize this thread has progressed into 2013.
