'99 excab 4wd 4cyl with ARB and smittybilt 8k winch. I've been searching for a while, but can't seem to find a consensus. I don't necessarily want a lift, but this truck is still on the factory shocks and springs, which all need to be replaced. I figured an OME w/dakars is probably my cheapest bet all things considered.

It seems like few dealers carry the 882s, but rather have 881 or 883s in stock. I understand that most people are installing suspensions on 6cyl, so I wonder if the slight difference in weight will make 881s adequate in my case?

I have a V6 Auto Xcab and a winch and bumper with 881’s and it’s fine, more than enough.
It is lifted 2”-ish with the Bilstein 5100’s though.
    Hope that helps…

I've used them for land cruiser parts in the past. I'll give them a call. Their site says 881s, so seems like a good plan.

With your setup, 881's will be good to go.
