I wanted to level my truck so yesterday I installed 5100's and 883's. The 5100's are at the lowest setting and the 883's are advertised as 1.25-1.5" lift. I didn't go with 884's because I didn't want to lift the rear, but now my truck is slightly nose high.

    Are they going to settle?

if the 5100's are at the lowest setting-->stock, then you should be at that setting. Is it possible that a. the 5100's are set at something different, b. you didn't get 883 coils, maybe a heavier coil, or c. your suspension was so sagged out that 1.5 inch over stock maybe been 3inch on a sagged out suspension?

Edit:if they are the OME x springs they wont settle a whole lot.

Edit: I misread the title, thought it said 3 inchs out of the lift. .5 and inch isn't huge, you may have just gotten a little sagging in your older suspension and actually gained 2 inch over your old suspension, but only 1.5" over stock.

You just installed yesterday they will probably settle a little. What does is measure from the center of you hub to the bottom of your fender flare? Like others said your rear end has probably sagged a good amount over time. Go wheeling and flex out your front suspension :D you also have a prerunner, so the front end weighs less than a 4x4, so you might sit higher than others.

^That. Did you just drop the truck down off the jack and measure? Or did you take it for a spin around the block to settle the suspension?

Again, if they're the 883X's they'll be scragged and won't settle much at all.

They are the X's. The truck only has 27000 miles on it, I doubt the stock suspension was that worn out. I measured after driving 20 miles or so.

I would give it at least a week before buying a AAL or something to lift the back. My 885x's have settled about 3/4" of an inch, but i added extra weight to the truck. The did settle a little bit initially.

I thought these numbers were for 4 door 4x4s?

from Wheeler's site: "These could give you approx 1.25″ to 1.5″ lift on a stock Tacoma, depending on chassis."

Did you get an alignment? If not the numbers are false...

Yes. Caster 1.8, Toe 0.05, Camber 0.9. I'm going to have it re done at a more reputable shop, but first I need to figure out if Im going to lift the rear.

lifting the rear will not affect your front alignment.

    Yes
^ yeah this is true unfortunately, anytime you mess with the rear it does throw off the front too.

OP - brand new coils will settle a ton from the time you set the truck back down. go hit some speed bumps roll up slow but let the truck come down the backside hard to bounce the front end as much as possible and it should settle. A couple of weeks ago we put a 2" leveling kit on my neighbors 11' 4Runner and it resulted in a solid 4" lift right off the jack... Rolled some speed bumps and it settled 2".
