You should get a 1/4" top plate spacer for the driver side, to account for the extra weight.

You should look at the Eibach coils as well. 620 lbs and they give you 1.6" lift on the 0" setting with the 5100's. Seems like a good compromise to me..

At the .85" setting you would get 2.4" of lift with the Eibach, not sure on the math though on how stiff this would make the coil?
You would still get lots of up travel on this setting.

Guys on here rave about the ride with toytec CO's; the above should give the exact same ride comparing with the same lift height.

The 5100's will give MUCH better dampening than the OEM shocks.

    As for the springs
Stock is a 540# spring rate, and, yes, 14" long.

    The OME:
    884: 390mm long, and 590# rate
    885: 395mm long, and 590# rate
    886: 402mm long, and 660# rate

I cant remember the wire diameter, but I have it written down somewhere...

    FOUND IT!

884 and 885 coil diameter (the actual bar the coil consists of) is 17 mm, while the 886 is 18mm....Not sure what stock is, as I have never measured it.

I thought the 5100's could not go on the OME springs?

They work fine on the 5100's. They work best on the OME N140s socks.

The 5100's are a high pressure single tube shock, with speed sensative dampening, where as the OME uses a low pressure twin tube design, with speed sensative damoening. On paper, the specs look much the same, yet for some reason (the way the dampening is calibrated...) the OME shocks are a littel softer. Also, I have found the 5100's heat up quicker, and to a higher temp, than the OME shocks do when off roading.

All you need are the billys, 885 springs, and stock hardware... trust me the ride is a lot more smooth than stock springs + billys at 2.5. I did not use the 1/4" spacer that come with it, but you could if you want. Caster will more than likely be more out of spec with the 1/4" spacer. (1/4" spacer makes for a full 3" lift vice only a 2.5" lift)

    Ride quality
    885 + Bilsteins @ "0" > Stock Springs + Bilsteins @ "2.5"

@ some point I plan to add some aftermarket UCAs but the ride is fine ... Caster is not optimal but within spec, I will get UCA so I can have spot on caster though in the future.

Got it - Thanks much. - and re caster warning - will wait and see.
Also planning the Toytec TSB AAL addition at the same time.
I Like the stance of your truck.

Is that bad for them to reach a higher temp? What kind of problems could arise from this?
