I was under my truck today doing the brakes and took a fully unloaded spring measurement from the bottom of the spring seat to the bottom of the rubber bushing on the top hat, measured about 14 3/8"

put the wheels back on and set it on the ground (havent driven it yet to settle the suspension) and rechecked, 13 3/4"

Anyone with this combo, could you take a measurement of the spring in a similar location, with whatever setup you have (bumpers, skids, sliders etc..) I just want to compare things

Obviously its way too high of a spring rate, damn near maxing out the down travel. No bumper or skids yet, but would 70 pounds worth of Engine/trans skids bring it down any significant amount? a bumper and winch is a very very distant thought.

My other thought would be to swap in 887 coils for the lower spring rate and let the skids bring it down to a more appropriate level.

I am running 285/70/17 Cooper ATPs, CMC done, Built Right UCA's, having it re aligned tomorrow to push the tires as far forward as possible within specs to help clear the fenders that im currently hitting offroad (flares are off, also installed Wheelers super bumps with 3/8" spacer to limit the up travel just a tad to help)

Are there any other spring options to use with the 5100s to give me about 2.5-2.75" lift that may have recently come out?
