    Hey folks,

2016 TRD Sport dbl cab short bed

I’m about to throw in some 5100s I picked up with OME 888 springs. Will these be too stiff? Should I put my stock ‘16 sport springs on there instead?

also, with either spring set, I’d like to get 2.75” -3” of lift. What notch should the 5100s be set on? Will spring choice affect lifts at all or is it only based on shock setting?

I have the same setup, the springs won't make a huge difference in the ride. It's mostly in the valving of the shocks. That being said, 5100's are firmer than stock, at least in my OR, but I'm a good way. Can't say for sure with your sport, but I would guess they might actually be softer. Also, put them on the lowest notch and you'll get about the lift you're looking for. Just be warned, many 888's have been known to say, including mine. Have fun assembling the struts! It's a bitch.

They won’t be to stiff I’m on 5100 and 888 springs. I really like the way it rides. And yes use the lowest setting on the shock. They’re really not that hard to put together. If you’re worried about it take the struts out and have a shop put the new ones together with your factory top hat. I do it for people all the time at my shop
