really doesn't feel like its been 8 years. i remember every detail about that day: what i was wearing, where i was, what all happened. no matter what our political views are, what our religion is, our race, sex, or anything, thousands of AMERICANS lost their lives 8 years ago. they did nothing wrong to deserve what they went through. may they rest in peace and may God be with their families and friends.

proud to be an American ( i was going to put a smiley holding an american flag but all we have is one with the canadian flag?)

Solus, that's crazy man. I was sitting in english class sophmore year of high school. Our teacher had gone out to talk to another teacher and then ran back inside and turned the tv on. The class fell silent and stayed that way for the remainder of class. Same in my other classes. horrible.

All i can say is thank you to those men and women who gave their lives for our country and our freedom and thank you to all the EMS personell who ran into what they new was gonna be their last call.

    I will never forget.

I was a junior in high school and i pretty much knew that i was going to the Marine Corps after i graduated but that day it became a definite. I didnt know anyone personally who was killed but it didnt matter, i had that same feeling that you get when a loved one dies. A lot of people i went to school with/knew had parents that worked in the financial district, it was very sad that day in my school. The teachers just let everyone go home. Im glad my father brought me and my sisters to the top of the towers when we were little and ill never forget the view.
It hit home real hard since my father was a firefighter and we live very close to the city, my dad actually went down the next day with his guys and helped with the recovery effort. I begged him to let me go with them and just wear an extra turnout coat but since i had a broken bone in my lower back at the time he wouldnt let me. Im glad I did my time in the USMC and deployed in support of both OIF and OEF but i always wish that i had done more to get back at those bastards that did this. RIP and never forget.

    Nothing yet, brand new!
I wanted to go back in after the attacks, but I had a family and a career to tend to. So many good people lost their lives. Now I'm the one doing my part to support all who are now serving just as they did for me when I was in Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

So to all you that are currently serving,

    Thank You

I pray you finish your tour and come home safely to your loved ones.
