lol my bad, accidentally hit post before i typed anything...
but anyway. question for ya. i just got back from a long trip, and my highway driving kinda concerns me. I cant hold 5th gear while going 65-75 mph. It keeps wanting to stay in 4th, at like 3,000 rpms.
I do have a ton of weight, and I'm also on 33s. I am considering going to 4.88s, but wanted to ask how your highway driving was with your truck and 35s? it might be completely different because I'm at 5500+ feet, and youre at sea level... lol.
but do you have any issues staying in 5h or 6th gear on the highway with your 4.88s?

Yeah anything above 65 its hard to hold 5th gear. Even with 488's. I'm at 3300ft elevation here in Montana so I guarantee that would be different at sea level. I honestly think it was a solid investment doing gears. Especially with 35's. The winds out here at really bad and sometimes hard to hold speed but I've gave up on trying to go fast.

Gears and a shift sense or tune will semi fix that 4-5 thing.

Mine stays in 5th and 6th sometimes with 37’s. I’ll be driving back to SLC and can report if that does anything at 4000+ feet.

They are really hard to put on. I’m sure they are straight. I really struggled with mine until I gave up and just eye balled them.

They are straight enough that it doesn't bother me. If they were blatantly fucked, then I would just rip them off

Love the truck but a little curious, With all the mods and changes how has the stock cheese grater not been replaced? Do you just like the stock grill it or is it something thats just not worth changing to you, at least for now?

Thanks. I honestly don't care for any of the grills made for it. And everyone gets the PRO one. I don't like matching everyone. So I keep it stock. Plus my bumper and light bar cover some of it. No point in buying something that's mostly covered anyway

I get that, I feel pretty much the same. In the right pictures I like the Bamf raptor grill but in other pics and in person not so much. I feel like I've seen some better ones released more recently. I really hated the stock one though and found a custom one off that I liked for the right price and grabbed it up right away. Nothing hides my grill since I only have a slimline bumper for now. :anonymous: Pretty sure I'll end up going to a full front one with hoops to help even the look after I get my new rear bumper and makes the back look way beefier than the front.

I was interested in the BAMF grill but I saw some reviews about it cracking the plastic surrounding in cold weather. That strayed me away from it. I'll probably never change the grill unless I hit something and it shatters it

Truck looks good without the RTT and rack. Been a while since I've seen it like this. I' happy to get a few mpgs back. Especially for this upcoming road trip.
