Hell yeah bro! I want them so bad! But I can't justify tires yet. I still have at least 10k left in my tires right now. I hope once they release they are affordable, if not I'll be back on them kbros

Hell yea what size gears? Once you gear, all sorts of possibilities start happening.

Ha I fought that for like two years before I got tired of having the low rider of the bunch.

Cheeeeee 4.56’s jumping to 37’s... mmmm might be a stretch for this truck.

Seriously undecided though. I say 4.56 but when the time comes it will definitely be game time decision

Trucks a pig right now. To keep it in OD on the parkway I can’t do over 60mph

Ha sounds like we are in the same boat. With my armor and glass Im about as aero as steel couch with wheels. If you do go 4.88s, you can play around the idea of being a big kid like Mike is with dem sevens.

Sad part that Im starting to realize is steering racks tend to go around 200k...I might need to add the solo steering rack to my list since Im LT so when I do the swap it can survive for the long haul.

Oh hell naw! I just started hearing about steering rack crap outs. :lalala:

It’s a tough decision honestly because of future mods such as 37s but I’m 85% on road as it’s my DD :pout:

I think I will stay 35s unless I choose to regear again which I don't have any current aspirations. I wouldn't go to 37s unless I get another DD though, but yea man I think if you run 33s and up then be prepared for the steering rack to die sometime down the road.

I think that's the one advantage with my build is with LT and shit, I am pretty much having to restructure the stock frame and design of the truck. Eventually it will be bomb proof and within the "off-road" spec instead of the stock spec, but obviously that takes new components and stronger items to make it that way. Once you start to deviate from stock stuff, most things will fatigue if not faster than they were originally designed to.

That sums up my thoughts. Boxing and gussets start to be a necessity. More $$$ signs

:bananadead::bananadead::bananadead: glad I went 31s to 35s right off the bat. But I def understand lifespan of parts is cut short. Solo makes their own rack? I'll have to check that out.

But at the same time, every place you touch and reinforce becomes a stronger component. Eventually it becomes up to standard, just takes the right attention to detail before the stock part fatigues out and causes a problem.

Yep, they don't advertise it as I think they seem to be more low key on the hardcore LT parts. From what I understand, it is a tundra steering rack that has been heavily designed to fit for the Taco. For some reason, I cant remember if it had any interference with the AC functions.

If you are going to regear I think 40s are a perfect compromise, you can drive over the cars on the LIE.

@90yota great build love your truck.

Not sure if you guys have seen this. Another place to dump money.

Haha, thanks man! I saw that. Would be so nice to have dual cases for the trail. Then I would consider arb front locker too. But now we are talking a lot of money lol wish I was still out that ways to make Rausch trips with you guys

Yea man they don't have it on there, but its like almost 5k for it. A few LT guys have recently swapped it in.

That would be nice. I would like to upgrade. Would make it easy if it were a direct swap.
