If it’s reasonably priced, do it. It will probably last 500,000 miles.

It'll need a timing chain and guides at that age and miles.

Reason I said is my in-laws had one of these. They sold it at 475000 as a running vehicle. None of them were mechanically inclined. I was impressed and grabbed one with 228000 and a bad head gasket. I fixed it and it’s at 275000 now, running perfectly. If the person does their maintenance, those trucks last a long, long time.

My 22R has over 360,000 miles and the only big thing done to it was the timing chain and head gasket at 180,000. That truck actually has pretty low miles and will last many more with proper maintenance

If it’s been properly serviced and the timing chain is done it should be good to go for many more miles

They are good trucks. Like has been said, Chain and guides will be due soon.
But generally, they last a long time.

Not a lot of power. But work well for things hauled in the bed.
    Towing......not so much.
