Thanks! I was set on F+R bumpers eventually but then it became my dd and the only time I wish I had them is in traffic ha It's fine for now. Maybe someday but I like the stealth look ha simple and sleek.

I've had it for less than two iirc. I don't really remember ha

I want to finish a few little things, hidden back up lights, finish the tint banner, install vacuum gauge, and it needs PAINT imo, but nothing major. I opted out of the LSDs and armor (although I do have sliders). I love that I get such good gas mileage too ha the lightweight wheels/tires really help. Lots of fun in this snow :)

Took apart my front end a bit today. I think I broke most of the clips in the grill ha

But then the sun went and set on me so I was working in the dark.

These are really crappy photos. At a photographer it pains me to even put them up haha but I will take more tomorrow when I get things finished up. Right now the wires and ballasts and everything are just laying all over inside and my battery and a bucket of bolts is in my passenger seat ha So I ain't done yet. Gotta double check my wiring. I'm not the most confident with it. I hope it's all right. And I hope nothing breaks if I have something wrong. Going to pick up some velcro and zip ties and finish the install tomorrow if I have the time. This is all for now.

looks great! Can't wait to see the end result.
One of my friends did a projector retrofit and we had a bad ground so they didn't work at first. Make sure the paint is sanded off of whatever ground you use!

I will. Right now everything is hooked up but just laying in there so I need to finish up tomorrow. I hope I have time. School tends to get in the way of real life things.

haha probably not. Not a lot of meaning/message in a snapshot of new headlights :p I really want to get some film developed quickly but may have to shoot digital for this weeks challenge.

Yeah I guess that is true. I have no idea what makes a great B&W so I need to go watch some youtube videos. lol I know a great one when I see it, but I don't know why.

You don't have to take my advice at all, but were I you I'd steer clear of YouTube and Google for any advice on much of anything that requires you to think for yourself. You'll get generic bullcrap answers and even if you get good "things that make a good B&W photo" they won't be your photo, it'll be the one you were told to take ha. What's important to you? I started off shooting a lot of landscapes because I love nature, but then I realized what I really like to photograph and document is people.

Once you realize what subject you enjoy photographing and is meaningful to you, then you have to start thinking about the photo.

If I just take a snapshot of a cool looking person, a lot of times there is enough character in a face to speak for itself. That is a great photo.
But then, what if I try and say something with it? Find things in common. Maybe two older vets who happen to be in the same place but don't know each other or are different nationalities or something. Or what about contrast. This weekend I took some photos in ND of some real hard cowboys. Their lifestyle, etc. Then I went to church with them and snapped a photo of two weathered and grizzled cowboys talking next to two pretty, snazzy looking young ladies talking. The contrast between wrinkles and beards and girls all frilled up and fancy with modern attire raises interest.

Things like that. That is just an example, but think about what your shooting and why you're shooting it and it becomes yours. Create your own art :)

Just my two bits though. By all means if seeing other people's work helps you check out a ton. I love looking at other's work for ideas.

I'd recommend getting on Flickr and searching for B&W groups that have exclusively B&W photos. You'll start to identify with certain subjects and styles and realize what it is you want to shoot.

Aaaaand I'm done rambling haha shutting up :p

I hear you! I guess I really just like learning about the technical aspects of certain types of photography. Then going and using those skills my own way. For example I went and learned about Bokeh, then went and found something meaningful to me with history for my picture.

The picture means more to me than what you see. While everyone sees blurry picture frames, I know there are a ton of memories I have with my dad on that wall. So while there was an old gun in focus, making the picture cool. It was really a symbolic tool that brought all the memories on the wall behind it together. I love when there is hidden symbolism, message or story behind a great photo even if I am the only one that gets it. lol

Here is the pic I am talking about.

looking good man! Black corner light assemblies would go great with that.

That's awesome! I've found that even art I really dislike (I've taken a few ancient art history classes) if I knew the story behind it the painting or whatever became way better in my eyes. The story makes the photo often.

I honestly wish the headlights weren't so dark. I asked for gunmetal grey (and not too dark) but they pretty much look black. I'm not a fan of the teenager/ricer look but got my headlights and wheels for function more than anything. If I could make them look a little more discreet and simple I'd go back and do it again but I like my lightweight wheels and I like my projectors so I can actually see for once :)

I finished yesterday and today after sundown and all I had was my cell phone for photos.

Tomorrow (if I remember and find time) I will take some better photos with my real camera in the daylight, maybe . . . ha

Mine is getting there unfortunately. Spots all over are growing. I'm going to try and nip it here in the Spring/Summer. Useless to try right now with all the snow/salt and junk.
