Considering it still had the stock headlights from 1993 and I've had a low beam out for quite a while it is a huge difference haha

Same here...got some spots on the roof of the cab and inside the fenders where I ripped the mudflaps out wheeling once :(

    Retros look awesome!!! Nice job!
You should take some photos of them off during the daylight

I will when time permits. I had to skip a chunk of school due to helping with a personal family thing and I am way behind ha also they're caked in highway junk and fogging up :(

Yup. Was having troubles with the housings and let someone else do the work. Never should have. I ended up waiting over a year, 13 months, and then they weren't grey and black but super dark grey that looks black (I personally did not want black headlights) and now they're fogging up on the inside so the seal is bad on both. Live and learn. Should have done it myself.

Thanks, man! I like it too.

Feel free to ask away in this thread if you want. I'm always up to pass along whatever I've learned along the way.

Dang that sucks! What's your plan to fix them, or are you just going to live with it?

Spent way too much hassle getting these suckers in haha my stinking grill would not pop off (not to mention all the hassle posted above) I'd have to re-bake them apart, hope that didn't ruin the gaudy epoxy job, sand and repaint, clean out, reseal and reinstall all just to change the color and fix the moisture inside, all to maybe find out I don't fix the condensation and have to start over.

I'm going to just leave them. Sucks, but whatever. It's just a truck. ha

Nice truck! So you have this and a 2012? I saw a picture of your 2012 lift today and it's exactly what I plan to do now

Funny story haha I had the 2012 and picked this up as a side project, just for fun. Next think I knew I hadn't driven the 12 in quite a while and I liked everything about this truck better. It could use a little more cab storage but it keeps me from giving so many rides haha It's just a superior vehicle in every way. So I sold the 12 to a buddy looking for a truck to take to Alaska and beat up.

Let me know how the lift goes and if you need anything. I planned it well I thought and it's still holding up to some pretty serious beating.

Where in Nebraska are you from? I was born in Omaha and lived there until I was about 7. Good chance I'll be moving back out there this summer, much more oppotunity and my nephew will be growing up :D

I was actually born and raised in South Dakota, spent a year in ND, four years in CA then another back in SD, and now I'm going to school in NE haha so I'm in Lincoln these days but go back to SD to see the family once in a while also.

Oh cool! I'm looking forward to leaving Michigan, love it here but no opportunity and the salt destroys vehicles.

So my sliders are starting to rust pretty bad right where the top plate meets the tubing. This is after just one winter.

The guy who powder coated them obviously doesn't do the best work. It's not just a tiny bit of rust and it wasn't that bad of a winter at all as far as salting the roads and such.

Anyone have experience with stripping powder coat and doing something else? I'd like to just drop it off to be Line-X'd but the Line-X place here is a giant rip off on pricing.
