Any time, man. I'll be going with the Dakars most likely whenever I get around to it, but the opposite as far as I may or may not take out the third leaf. I don't want much lift out of them. I just want to ditch the ZUK and keep the topper up. . . Sleeping platform will add weight too and hopefully a rear bumper is even more so we'll see.

Yeah I may see about removing the third leaf, as well. I'm holding off on the ball joint spacers for now to see how much lift I get in the front with just OME shocks and OME torsion bars. If it's super tall in the back and I don't want to lift the front any more then I'll remove a leaf.
Yeah I'm thinking of doing a sleeping platform, as well, and I come across new rear bumper designs every once and a while, so we'll see how much weight that adds.

Get a 1.5 and you can just back it off on the t-bars to desired height/comfort.

I'll cut and pound things before I get a lift. I don't like the look of trucks sitting way up high in the air and you can see the whole inner wheel well. I don't get it. Tallest I'll go for a long time is 255/85s though. Nothing bigger makes sense for where I'm at and what I do.

Hmmm...maybe. I'm with you on the lift. The most I'm going for is 2.5" with 33"x10.5" tires on stock wheels. I've done some trails with stock suspension and 31"s that many people wouldn't dare to do without at least 33"s so I would like to just go up a little bit so I can avoid the damage that I got from those trails.

I've heard bad things about ball joint spacers regarding alignment and wear, though. Any thoughts on that?

That's just the nature of messing up your suspension the way it was made ha Some people do a drop bracket to get angles back to normal. It's just one of those things. If you lift it, it's going to wear and tear quicker. . .

33s will fit pretty easily. A little trimming and pounding should do with a mild lift. I wouldn't bother with more than 2"

Finally fixed the broken lights behind my temp controls.

Sliders should be done this week.

    Retrofits soon after.

Whelp, my brand new exhaust is rusting pretty bad after one mild winter . . . Stainless steel, huh?

I'll send them an email but we'll see. I'm not optimistic about it. I know a guy in my hometown that owns the Exhaust Pros. Worse case I'll just pay him to tuck everything up tighter. I've been meaning to do that anyway and he's pretty good at what he does. It's not like it wont last a while. I was just irked to see exhaust less than a year old pretty heavily spotted with rust after a very, very mild winter.

Haha I want to get into the RC hobby, aquarium hobby, and photography! But I just can't do that to my Tacoma, so it's getting all the loving for at least the next 8 months. After that all my money will probably be going to other stuff for a while... But I guess that comes with growing up and gaining responsibilities... Haha

I'm actually surprised by how good my truck looks with what very little I've done to it! :D

It's all about keeping it simple and functional. If it doesn't serve a purpose or makes me stand out I don't want one. I really like your truck. Did you end up going OME? I'd love a first gen 4 banger. Or a 4Runner so when I vehicle camp/expedition I can climb from the bed to the driver seat if need be. When I sleep in the bed I always think, man, someone is going to do something crazy and I'm a sitting duck. That's why my Kimber is at my side :D

I agree, for now I'm keeping it simple except for the rock sliders I plan on getting soon. I've started to catch people looking at it now, a great feeling! :)

I ended up with Bilstein/Eibach with pro comp aal.

Haha yeah, an old 4runner would be a fun project!

35% up front, 20% in the back window tint, 15" Mickey Thompson bullet hole wheels, with 31x10.5 Firestone Destination A/T tires. Glass Pack, High Flow Cat, S&B CAI, Custom Light Bar with 4 fog lights. 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P2 subs with 1000 watt Rockford Fosgate Amp, CB.
 I don't know why I haven't subbed to this yet. How is the retrofit coming? I have been doing some heavy research into doing this to my truck, and my Metro.

What sucks is the housings are cheapo plastic and you can't just bake em apart as easily as newer parts. I cracked a few headlight housings and lenses before deciding to get some help ha.

Watch all you want, I just bought new camera gear and bought a plane ticket for Jerusalem this Summer and have camping trips already planned before and after. . . and work to do back in the Dakotas in between. What it is now, you're looking at it ha.

Except Jerry is about done with my sliders and the headlights, uh, idk but maybe soon . . .
