^this...too much stuff to do! And my reverse lights just stopped working... :(
For now I put my extra rear lights on so I just have to turn those on when I go in reverse if I care enough or if I remember.

I like the sound of your rear bumper with a spare tire swing out and a possible long-range fuel tank thing. After finding that expo thread, I think my wallet's screwed... money tree?

Much more but i will keep it simple.
Thanks guys... I did some ifs stuff pre sas. I miss having a stockish rig for a driver.

When it comes time to plan your bumper lmk. I built my rear and tire carrier. The hinge latch and plate were all parts I ordered and everything else was built. The carrier held up to a ford econoline van hitting me at 45 and all it did was scratch the paint. Well scuff it. 2 hand washes and the marks almost gone.

Yup, I'm going to order the hinge and latch as a kit then weld up the design

Wish weight was less of an issue but just hauling two people and all their junk on a hilly highway last week, I could really feel it haha. Gotta keep things light. . .

Well look in to the iron pig hinge. When you put it on double sheer it and you won't have an issue. Mines been awesome and I didn't do the 2nd point yet. I used carrlane for the latch. Ballistic fab has the tire plate with studs. No lugs tho.

My bumper is thick but the carrier is all 3/16. Worked out great

Looks like a pretty nice kit. The latch is a little different then mine and the hub mounting part is too. My hinge uses oil impregnated bronze bushings that you don't have to oil or anything. Mine might have added up a little higher. I will get some pics up when I get to my computer

Thanks man, no worries on thread jacking if it's pics of that beaut!

I'm realizing my bumpers may be further down the road than I would like anyways, looking at a few thousand dollar trip to Jerusalem this summer instead of sitting around modding haha

Next step up here is big bore throttle body and intake manifold (might get new TPS while I'm in there) fuel injectors, and probably a new cam, Pro or Pro torquer from LCE.

Thoughts on electric radiator fans? I don't cross water much but have a line on a new one and may or may not get it. Leaning towards no, now that I'm pushing a little extra power with some of these mods I don't think any difference it would have made to free up power (if any) will be noticable.

Electric fans are good. I run one on my truck. I just sit and let my truck cool before goig through anything really deep. I have never had any issues with it. I ran one on my 22r for 3+ years and didn't have an issue either. I recommend getting a 2 speed setup. I run it on mine and when my AC is on it comes on high. I'm adding a 90s runner AC fan to it later to make sure it cools well on 100+ days. I had a few days on trail at high elevation with the AC on it got toasty

Might have a Black Magic S-blade lined up. Seems to be popular on YT and MC. We'll see.
