This guy and I did a double take at each others rigs as he drove past me while I waited to turn. Man, would I love to have an FJ40-FZJ80 for funsies!

Great thread here. Regarding your bad back...try to located the Gen1 Limited Sport Seats. Buy a new piece of top and bottom foam for the driver's side and swap out your bench for these nice buckets that should bolt in...nearly. If the seat covers are tattered you can cover them or get them recovered with leather.

Thanks much man. I will definitely keep that in mind. I actually like the bench though :) two little brothers fit well ha so for now I'm thinking some okoles and mayhaps their, or another, lumbar support system. Need to research it more. If ever I go buckets though, I shall look into those!

Held on to both for a while (this was just supposed to be a project on the side) but it just sat there (because this one is better :D) so my buddy and I worked out a mutual deal. He was moving to Alaska and needed a rig but didn't have time to build it up and didn't want to pay full price for new, I obviously couldn't resell mine for what I wanted to get back with it being nearly brand new + all my mods so we met in the middle at a reasonable number and he's in AK beating it up now. Trust that guy with my life so I definitely trust him with my truck!

I'm #33 on the list I think, so . . . January? I have no idea ha I actually need to tell him I ordered kickouts but the more I think about it I may keep it clean and simple.

Nice! Can't wait to see it with the sliders. I still can't get over how good those wheels look on there!

meh, won't display the time constantly and can't figure out how to use my ipod to manually search for songs rather than the HU. Still figuring it out, but not impressed :(

I didn't need much so I grabbed the unit that made sense, now I'm wondering if they'd take it back so I can get another haha I don't listen to the radio (ever) so all I wanted was something to hook my phone/ipod to. If I have to keep hitting the little scroll button sideways to track01, track02, track03 haha and guessing at what track03 might be, I may just get another if I can't figure this out.

I have the same one in my boat, only used it a couple times so far. IIRC, I would pick a playlist or album on the Ipod, and then plug it into the usb and it would start playing. I hated trying to scroll through that tiny stereo screen

whelp, now I know haha guess I'll live with it for a bit.

I actually prefer to drive in silence a lot of the time, but the long 7-8 hour drives to see the family lately have been a bit tedious.

I still have the stock tape player/radio, but the tape player doesn't work anymore, so when I'm in the middle of nowhere I can't listen to anything...the radio works spectacularly, though.
Still, I need a new one. Good to know that this one has some problems, sorry that it's at your expense....

Well folks, I'll be taking a hiatus from electronics for a while. Don't send a search party.
