    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Have you thought of turbocharging the nuts off of your current four banger. Both the 2.4 and the 2.7 will make over 300 wheel horsepower no problem with not a huge amount of effort. Certainly easier than an engine swap

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Check out KO Racing's turbo kits for your engine and then consider an after market computer from Haltech and a plug n play wiring adapter for it from Boomslang. Without even stressing the engine we managed 316whp and 330lb of torque on the 2.4L with 35" mud tires. @2RZNoShi1 would be happy to tune your setup if you go this route.
