Is it a Tacoma or a pickup?

If you have a 95 Tacoma (not 95 Pickup), then all the front suspension for 96-04 fit. For rear suspension, 95-97 have different leaf packs than 98-04. The 95-97 leafs are shorter and are not interchangable with 98-04 without cutting and rewelding the leaf spring hangers.

The reason for the date discrepancy is that Toyota sold the Toyota Pickup through the beginning of the 95 model year, and mid year of 1995 released the '95.5 Tacoma.

Many companies are either ignorant of the existence of '95 Tacomas, or just deliberately refer to all 1st gen Tacomas as 96-04 to avoid confusion with '95 Toyota Pickups.
Either way, for 99% of things if it says 96-04 it will fit your 95 Tacoma.

1995 Toyota Pickup refers to the predecessor to the Tacoma, an entirely different truck, its model name was Pickup (like Tacoma is the current model name). So avoid using the term Pickup in describing your '95 Tacoma or else you're just going to confuse everybody.

In general, every single time you see 96-04 it will fit a 95.5 Tacoma.

Easy question will be, where’s s gas door located? Driver side will be a Tacoma and passenger side will be a pickup.
