    CEL:p0500 “vehicle speed sensor A”

I know they don’t have a VSS on the trans. Cable driven. I don’t see any rear wheel sensors on my truck.

    Speedometer still works.

Is there a speedometer sensor behind the cluster, I can replace? Do I need to replace the entire speedometer cluster?

Also if I do need to replace the cluster or sensor behind there, will I lose my original mileage reading? I have 60,000 miles on the odometer.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
