the rear differential was a little black, and I swirled a magnet through all of the fluids and found only very small amounts of shavings in each. other than that they actually didnt seem that bad surprisingly. I was actually a little scared to see what was going to come out of the truck. Once funds are available my next mod will be a 3" OME setup with dakars to replace the crap spacer lift.

    That's a pretty good sign!

OME is the business. I've had Dakars for years, and swear by the full OME. Bulletproof setup.

Well my project/fix up on the truck is still going well. Its definetly turning into a money pit though. I have had a really hard time trying to find a damn petcock(radiator drain plug). I went to the stealership and got one as a last resort and it didnt fit either so I am about to find a random plastic bolt and thread it in. Now I am pretty sure I have an aftermarket radiator or one from another vehicle. my rotors are pretty dang rusted up but they dont have major signs of wear and I think they are still useable. I was wondering if anyone has tried soaking there rotors in Cacium Lime Rust or any other household product or maybe lightly sanding them with 1000,1500, or 2000 grit sand paper?

Rotors... I've gotten creative, learned it from my father. He once replaced the pads on an old Ford Tempo, then put the car in drive and lightly hit them with a grinder. You can sand them as well, but if you are not consistent you can cause certain spots to grip more than others, then heat up, then warp, then they are garbage. Measure them and see if you can get them turned at a shop, which is the best besides just replacing them.

I think I am going to just try to hand sand them very lightly. The grinder seems like a little much. I dont have an enormous amount of rust just a little bit of surface rust.

Do it to it brother! If its really minor I personally wouldn't bother, but you could take this opportunity to paint them as well.
