remember if the product information does not show on the computer screen the company employee has, they have no clue.

Any more I just use Walker Exhaust products never had a problem with fitting.

Right! Yea I have used walker on a previous ecoboost with no fitment issues. This seems like the only 1 piece to knock 2 birds with one stone. About to just see how good their return policy is. I personally think it looks like it will fit. Attached is the oem diagram of the exhaust. 4 runner is just not separated

I replaced mine with a rock auto unit a few years back, because it was broken and rattled, as well as O2 sensors. '96 3rz. Had gotten same P0420 code. Had zero issues bolting up the new cat, O2 sensors and gaskets.

Got same P0420 code again last summer and ran across posts about cracked exhaust manifold. Sure enough, found mine cracked in two places. Replaced that with newer 2001 style pipe exhaust manifold and no P0420 codes since. Pipe style bolted right up, used Timmie the tool man youtube vid for guidance.

Wondering why you are replacing y pipe? I reckon rust maybe? Anyway, maybe check manifold for leak on that P0420.

    Good luck!

Manifold crack is a possibility too but I am hoping not. Which brand manifold did you purchase? I am replacing y pipe because the PO cut the bottom 1 hole flange off and f$&^ing slip fit a welded exhaust section on with the cat welded in as well. I want to replace from that section back. Hoping the clogged cat is the p0420 issue but if not I will replace manifold as well

OUch, I see. Used OEM toyota manifold. If I can do it by myself anyone can. If yours is original cast manifold I'd sure be looking at it for cracks and considering replacing.

I would be tempted to go to an exhaust shop and see what they think. Exhaust is like legos, they might be able to build something better and possibly cheaper.

i really really surprised that it was only $100 out the door to replace my muffler- including parts. That was almost 4 years ago, still good.

So the OEM 01 manifold is not cast? All I'm seeing are cast material manifolds
