Hey guys, hoping someone has some info on this... I have a 95.5 taco that I am trying to convert to power window/power door locks, but no power mirrors. The donor truck is a 99 Xtra cab trd off road, which I will later be stealing the locking diff out of but that will be a different thread for a different day lol.
Anyways, back to the topic... I have heard that some trucks come factory with the plugs already in the kick panels, but unfortunately mine doesn't have them... But I do however have 6-8 inch pigtails on the truck side for both the harness. So now I will just need to create my new PW/PL harness. Now before you go commenting on here saying "use the search" or "there is already a thread about this"... I have looked, and I cannot find a thread that has any type of wiring schematics on what I am trying to do, so that being said, does anyone have any info on the wiring? Thanks in advance!

I've got diagrams for both trucks. I'll upload them tonight.

Well just a matter of fact I did exactly what you want to do on my '98 PreRunner Ext. Cab using components and door harnesses from an '04 Limited Double Cab.

The door harnesses are complete, and the point where they plug into the kick panel is where I cut the factory harness. From there I made my own crossover harness that interconnects the two doors via a series of relays, fuses, terminal blocks, and the computer module.

Hands down one of the best mods I have ever done to my truck. Check out my Build thread, it has everything you need to know. Ask me if you have any questions.

Damn this is a very informative thread! Thank you all for the info! I made the mistake of installing one of the power windows without remembering that the window had to be down in the other truck to get the regulator out, now the window is stuck down and it's about to rain lol. So I have to do something quick!

Unplug the window motor where it plugs into the door harness and get a 12v power source like a car battery. Apply 12v to one pin of the motor and negative to the other pin. Reverse the polarity to move the window up and down.
