    Looking good!
I’ve got a 2001 f450 with a Horton body. I’ve only stripped mine down and haven’t finished tracing wires.

    5/21/23 Update:

Added some window vent covers on the cab and wired in some new marker lights. I utilized the existing holes from the light bar. Have a triple led for the center that should be in tomorrow.

    20230521_202459.jpg

Also got some new tires covers. Makes me want black rims lol.

Yeah iirc, (it's been over a week now) it was yellow with brown and red stripes. But I'm notoriously bad at remembering numbers and colors.

did you ever finish up the interior trim?

I did. But I kind of rushed a few things to leave for our trip so I will be changing a few things when we get home.

Could be worse. The trim in my dining room is like 5 different types of floor molding haphazardly and zero fucks given joined together. The PO was a flipper and gave no care.

    8/1/2023 Update:

Just returned from our summer road trip in the camper. A little over 9000 miles traveled over 32 days.

    20230731_140417.jpg

Only issues we ran into were a seized a/c compressor on day 3 and a flat tire on day 30.

    20230731_140442.jpg

    20230721_202116.jpg

Furthest point we traveled to was the Washington Peninsula.

Saw maybe 4 or 5 other ambulance conversions on the road and parked along the way but never got to talk to any of them.

    8/17/23 Update:

Have been busy trying to clean up the rig after our trip.

    Catching up on some maintenance.

    20230814_150324.jpg

I have been trying to chase down an oil leak (or so I thought) which turned out to be a fuel leak. Well I finally found it! Had to take everything apart and watch it run lol.

    20230814_150351.jpg

    20230817_153720.jpg

Time to order some more parts!

Also plan on pulling the carpet in the cab finally, and soundproofing the cab as well as putting in new carpet.

    9/7/2023 Update:

    20230907_111110.jpg

Finally got the leaky hose pulled, but it's too tight to get the new hoses on.

    20230907_111123.jpg

    20230902_184646.jpg

Decided to pull the fuel bowl out to make my life easier.

    20230907_110923.jpg

Not the easiest spot to work on in this thing that's for sure!

    20230907_124934.jpg

Got all the new hoses put on as well as the fuel filter sensor and fuel/water drain valve.

    20230907_124941.jpg

Have all new O rings for the fuel bowl and a few other goodies coming in this weekend so hopefully I can wrap this up and move on to ripping out the interior.

    09/12/2023 Update:

Changed out the fuel filter, maybe 10k miles on the used one.

    20230909_165151.jpg

Also got some new intake boots and an Oring kit for the fuel bowl.

    20230908_133521.jpg

Got everything swapped on the fuel bowl and cleaned real good. Had to slide everything in as one assembly and line up all the hoses at the same time. Quite a mf'er.

    20230909_105506.jpg

All the YouTube videos I've found for this job were for the truck model so it was a little different with workspace but everything else was basically the same.

    20230912_155150.jpg

Ended up only using one new boot for now. Couldn't get the new one on. But, ol girl started right up and we are ready to move onto our next project!

    09/17/2023 Update:

Finally time to rip out the cab interior. Pulled the seats, bracket and seat belts.

    20230915_190415.jpg

Lots of wires running under the carpet. Most for the siren and ambulance controller, both of which are being deleted.

    20230916_100703.jpg

Went through and removed the no longer meed wire runs. Most wires are labeled so its a pretty straightforward process.

    20230916_121037.jpg

Hit everything with the shop vac and wiped it all down. Put down this sound deadener everywhere I could reach.

    20230916_173328.jpg

This is the 80mil thickness. One box was 36 Sq ft and 30 sheets. Just enough to do everything I had exposed and had one sheet leftover.

    20230916_190434.jpg

Next up is the new vinyl flooring. Still have to run a few wires to where the center console will be before I get the drivers side put down.

    20230917_125442.jpg

Have some more wiring to clean up then I can finish putting down the flooring and get the interior put back together.
