    09/19/2023 Update:

Work continues on the vinyl flooring. Got it mostly fit in and seat brackets set.

Still working through the unsightly wire pile. This is where the chassis harness connects to the ambulance module.

    20230918_185922.jpg

Found the horn and horn relay where they went off to the ambulance controller and cut /spliced them together to get the stock horn functional.

    20230919_134101.jpg

Was able to remove a substantial amount of wiring and equipment from under the seats.

    20230915_182416.jpg

Also touched up the seat base brackets.

    20230919_120313.jpg

Still need to get the seat belts put back in and finish trimming the vinyl so I can put the dog house back in.

    09/21/2023 Update:

Was able to clean up the wiring quite a bit. Tucked everything into the dead space in the door jam.

    20230920_172732.jpg

Next up I put the dog house engine cover back on. Much easier to get in and out with the seats out of the way.

    20230921_123713.jpg

Cleaned up the seats a bit and tighted the arm rest bolts. Then put them back in the cab.

    20230921_131922.jpg

Now that the seats are back in I can work on the new center console.

    20230921_140008.jpg

Got rid of the ambulance control module and the siren controller so decided to make it smaller.

    9/29/2023 Update:

Bunch of little projects started this week.
Ripped out the counter and cabinets I had built over the rear ac unit.

On the exterior, started removing all the reflective tape and getting the process started for a wrap.

Have a couple of vinyl wrap color samples coming so we can decide on a color finally.

    3/31 Update:

Sorry for the lack of posts, but, i assure you there has been no lack of excitement.

Rapped up most of the interior remodel after removing the old ambulance ac unit. I added a cabinet for more storage and will have more counter space once i get the new countertop.

Back in January we were headed out forba weekend camping trip, when we lost all forward gears in the transmission.

After getting towed back home, i began my dive into youtube transmission repair videos. After a few videos, i decided to pay for professional.

Called around a few shops, and surprisingly to me not many shops rebuild transmissions. Even my normal mechanic game me the run around.

Luckily, there is an Aamco transmission shop less than a mile from my house. I called them for a qoute and they had it towed in.

Took about a week for them to pull the trans, assess the damage, do a rebuild with new torque converter, install an aftermarket larger trans cooler and also had them do a rear end service since i had to pull the rear axles on the tow.

They ended up keeping the truck for 2 more weeks while they worked through some shifting issues. They replaced the cam position sensor, and dropped the trans again and ended up finding an issue with the valve body. Put everything back together and was good to go!

I got the truck back a couple weeks ago and it drives great.

    Finished up my center console.

    4/4/2024 Update:

Got the center console 12v usb plugs wired in to the camper box power. This way they will run all the time on solar / lifepo4.

Next up was the counter top.

Definitely not the same thickness as the other one but im rolling with it. Sanded down and sealed, and installed.

Really opened up the space removing the ac unit.

Tons of added storage. Also put magnetic latches on the cabinets.

    4/6/2024 Update:

Changed out the starter. Was having intermittent starting issues. Old one was pretty toasty.

    5/9/2024 Update:

Finally got to get out on another camping trip since getting the new transmission.

    20240504_160348.jpg

Ran great and trans temps were finally lower and consistent on the interstate.

Had an awesome weekend with a bunch of vets jumping out of a plane from WWII.

    6/8/2024 Update:
Not a bunch of progress, as usual, but i got bored and decided to mount the extra led lights i had.

Waiting on a harness to arrive hopefully tomorrow.

    20240608_180153.jpg

I used exing holes to miunt the lights, the center one is obviously not centered, but its the only spot it works.
