I am about to pull the trigger on a 1995.5 Tacoma 4x4 (~200k miles) and wanted some quick input. It is a regular cab 5-speed, but it has a 3.4 liter V6.

Is that common and is that engine reliable?

What is a fair price? (Blue book is $2500, but tacomas usually go for quite a bit more here in CA) Seller is asking for $3000

    Thanks

Also, is there anything I should be paying close attention to when I go to look at it again?

Does CA = Canada or California?

The frame and the last time the timing belt was changed would be my major concerns

Do an autotrader.com or cars.com search and you will find out how rare they are compared to other Tacomas. BTW they were only available 95.5-97.

    frame,frame,frame.....

Check the frame for 'internal' rust. This won't be detected from the outside.

They were known for rusting/rotting from inside out.
