    noob here.

I noticed my rear (only) differential case looked a little wet. I took a closer look and it's leaking fluid. Weird, huh?

So, the car is pretty much free of rust except for this one spot on the top of the differential case which seems to be rusted through. The top. Weird.

So, I'm out trying to find a 3.583/3.58 rear axle assembly (rear end).

Does anyone think this would be covered by that rust recall? Probably not, but I figure I'd better check.

Can anyone point me to info on that recall or the rust warranty? Thanks!

The rust warranty extension applies to frame rust through. You're on your own.
