Used to be a line-x salesman truck. 5 speed, 3.4L, extra cab. they messed up the wiring in the whole thing though. it's bday is March 2nd, 1995!
just curious, has anyone changed the angle that their 5spd shifter sits at? what i mean is straightening the actual shifter itself, in a manner that it stands up straighter instead of being leaned back? thinking about this because i've never seen or heard of it before. wondering has anyone done it and what the difference is.

It could be done, sure. Why for, ergonomics?

I cut and welded the transfer shifter to sit in a different position on my 85 to fix a clearance issue.

When I put in 4 runner seats they sat me up a little higher so I bought a threaded 6" extension on making the shifter taller. I like it that way, doesn't feel like I am reaching down and when you are in 2nd, 4th or reverse it comes back quite far. Any farther than that it might interfere with the center console.

mostly for ergonomics, just not a fan of the stock positioning, thank you for the replies.
