Hello Tacoma fans, how many have had this problem? I watched a video on you tube showing a relay replacement will fix it. Dinky relay on the circuit board fixed on the switch. It is no longer available thru Toyota but there is a replacement. My switch doesn't unplug or come strait out like the video or the 2 screws located different, mine are screwed in from the front not the side. Anyone ever try this switch relay replacement and be successful? Thanks for your feedback!

I have a 95 tacoma that has the same problem.
I haven't done anything about it yet.
Hopefully a tacoma nut pipes up and schools us.
I am also curious about a column upgrade to a later version. Cmon taco brains...help us out.

I read that the motor is responsible for going back to home position vs stopping wherever I turn my switch off.
And that intermittent function is in the switch.

Anyone know if any other toyota models have the same intermittent switch as the first version of tacoma? (95-97)

Also, has anyone ever swapped a later version steering column into a 95-97?

    Hi, Tacoma nut here
Check out my thread from a couple months ago. It’s a bit of a read but shows the journey I went through to fix that same problem.
I think my specific problem was a bit weird so you might still need a different solution, but I put as much information as I could which might help you narrow down the specific cause of your problem.
I linked a lot of other threads in my thread about these wipers as well that you can read through.

Anybody heard of, or have done, a steering column swap to later version column, on a early tacoma?
Any insight on a S. column weld mod on a 95-97?
The videos I've watched are not the early version of column. (I think)
