Everything is in, nothing is wired except for the bar, and the pods are covered with tape because I forgot about some touch up that I had to do after they were in.

Life is finally slowing down enough for me to update my build a little.

Got the bumper just about done, just gotta spray some clear on it.
Winch is wired up except for the in cab controls, but I just gotta run the wires to the switches when I run the wires for the lights.

Because of school I haven't had time to do anything except this.

Well my spare time is few and far between but I have a new project, I just got it moved locally to me so I can mess with it when I have time.

    Specs:
1965 C10 with the 230 I6 and 3 on the tree, 146K miles if my grandpa is correct.

    Back story:
My grandpa bought it in 1970 for $500, my Dad, Aunts, and uncle all learned to drive in this truck, and it was my dad's truck until 1985 (He bought a little dodge and ended up driving it more than this truck), so It's been sitting since '85 (The last inspection sticker was for '85).
It sat under a barn for 20 years, then katrina took the barn down around the truck so it's been out in the open since katrina.

    The plan:
Work on cleaning it up and get a list of what exactly is missing/screwed up.
After I wash it I'm gonna see if the motor is seized, and check the the linkages.

Hell yea man. Your new project looks like a little more than mine. 4Runner just needs all new ball joints and tie rods. And new rods and Pistons.

Yeah, this is definitely a project, hoping to have it driving by cruising next year, but it's gonna take some work.

Lemme know if you need help with the 4runner

Got the truck unloaded and started researching, apparently I can turn my 230 into a 250 with a new crankshaft and Pistons (drop in), that would net me some power gains, but if I put a mild cam, head from a 194 (milled .060) and small 4 barrel (or bigger 2 barrel) carb I would have almost 200HP (~60 over stock) for fairly cheap (vs a C8 swap).

I'd vote for building the v6 over a v8 swap

That's the route I'm for sure gonna go.

I messed with her some today, pulled the spark plugs (Surprised how easy they came out for being rusted in, ATF/Acetone frees everything up), pulled the valve cover, and filled the radiator.
The engine is slightly seized, I sprayed some ATF/Acetone in the cylinders but tomorrow on lunch break I'm gonna get some marvel mystery oil to put in also and see if I can't break it loose.

So far to get it to run all I need is:
Carburator -$170 (Rebuilt to manufacturers specs)
radiator hoses (Not sure on cost)
    Spark plugs (Cheap)
    Oil and filter change
and a temporary way to deliver fuel so I can run it.

For the restoration I need to find an intake/air filter system

Pulled the starter this AM and bench tested it, works great so I put it back in and connected it, after a few tries the engine turned 1/4 turn.
Gonna fill the cylinders with diesel and let it sit overnight, and gonna try to turn the crank back some so we can work it and get a full revolution.

Well I haven't made any progress on the C10, after a week of the cylinders soaking in marvel mystery oil and diesel, ATF/Acetone the pistons will barely move so I'm planning on just pulling the engine and trans and rebuilding the 230 as a 250.

Also ordered some amber strobes for my truck, so I'm gonna start putting my blue sea fuse box and stuff in, get the winch controls wired up, and figure out where I want to put the strobes.

Got the pods wired up while I was pumping the pond today, and Thursday after school I mounted my aux fuse box.
I really want to get the wiring run for the in cab winch controls but it's supposed to rain and I'm supposed to go look at a boat tomorrow, so I may not have time.
Also for now the pods are tied into the light bar wiring.

But the list is getting shorter.
    1. Wire switches
2.drill holes in bumper for turn signals and install said lights
    3. Wait for strobes to be delivered so I can install them

Decided not to put the amber lights on the bumper as the passenger side light would've been too close to the winch solenoid.

I got the interior switches wired up over the last few evenings, I now have in cab winch controls and I got 2 amber strobes wired.

Click on that last pic ^^^^, it's a video showing the strobes.

Also week before last I got stuck, and after that we did a detail on the exterior of my truck and took off the plastidip on the hood.

And meet the reason I won't be modding my truck for a little while.

Hmmmm, HAM radio and license is getting bumped up the list and I need a few good ideas on how to mount it and I think I found them.

Ran into a tree today and bent the bumper, also bent the hood (Slightly, should be able to hammer it out) and fender, and broke the grill.
