I have a '95 with the stock steel wheels. I just bought a set of stock, steel wheels from an '05 and they don't fit. The center hub on my '95 is about 1/8" larger in diameter than the center hole in the '05 wheels. The guy I bought them from won't take them back even though I just bought them this afternoon. The wheel will not even go on far enough so you can engage the lug nuts, so spacers are out and I don't think it would be a good idea to space the wheels out so far as to fit, as that would also require much longer studs. I had no idea the center hub from the '95 would be so much different from a '05. I now have a set of '05 wheels and tires I can't use and I don't know what wheels will actually fit on my '95. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The did some more investigation and found the center bore on the '95 is 67.1mm. The center bore on the '05 wheels is 60.1mm which confirms what I found. So I will have to sell the wheels and tires and look for another set with a 67.1mm hole. I haven't been able to find any information on whether all first gen. wheels have the same 67.1mm hole or not. At this point I don't know what will fit. Hopefully someone has been through this before and can give me a little incite. Thanks in advance.

My truck came with the steel wheels, I put a set of the nicer looking stock aluminum wheels on mine from a 99 model.

I think because you have a 4X4 your center bore diameter is smaller that allows the Tacoma stock 60.1mm hole to fit. I have a 2wd and my hub is 67.1mm. From what I have found so far, none of the Tacoma wheels will fit. Thanks for the reply.

No problem at all. I live in FL and don't do any off roading.

You might be able to find centering rings for the hub. I use them for the wheels on my Audi. Stock bore on the wheels was something like 57.1mm, new wheels were 60+mm. Centering rings of aluminum solved the problem.

Centering rings would be great as you suggested, if my problem was reversed. My hub at 67.1mm is too big for the center hole on the wheel, which is 60.1mm.

Is anyone aware of a Tacoma/Toyota wheel with a 67.1mm center hole in 15", 5X114.3 lug pattern? I have not been able to find one. I am not looking for after market wheels as they are far to expensive for my old truck. There are other OEM wheels, but I am not sure about the offsets.
