I have a 95 tacoma that has 367,000 miles on it I made the mistake of replacing the original motor when it only had a blown head gasket @ 267,000 ( never overheated) the motor thats in it is a remanufactured that really wasn't built very well, next problem when the dealer did some work they left the pilot bearing out which caused a vibration, found out when a clutch was put in 80,000 miles later. Ok to my question when do you say when ,the body is in real good shape it is just all the driveline questions. Do I upgrade to a newer tacoma or is this old dog worth all the work its going to take. Thanks the new guy

I am of the opinion to repair and replace unless it gets deep in electrical repairs...I hate the electrical aspect. Bad thing is the money you put in it, you likely will not get back....no different than a new one though.
My opinion is based on my lack of interest in having a monthly payment again, plus I want to see how many miles I can get out of mine just because.
