New latch. Holds 700lbs amd locks. It's wider tho so will be interesting getting it mounted.

All welded on! I felt like crap tho after grinding off your pretty welds and putting my shitty ones on there lol

Seems to work great. However it sticks out farther from the bumper then the original so it kinda pulls the tire swing like 1/4" out. So I might have to put on the hook that came with the new latch.

    Also started this...

It's higher up then the tire and thinner. It's just the angle of the pic

I know it might be a little late, but this is my favorite type of latch for a swing out gate. http://www.atozfabrication.com/store/product.php?productid=16172&cat=274&page=1
I would probably recommend some rubber on the inside of the handle to help cinch it down and allow the handle to sit horizontal.

I, too, would fear the latch getting caught on rocks or something. It looks like you might run the truck, so you'd know how easy it is to scrape the backend coming off steep rocks, specially on the sides since your back wheel will be on top of the rock. Granted that the bumper does help with clearence a lot, but it really does look like its just going to get all goobered up the first rock it hits.

At the very least, I think I'd add in a safety pin, just in case.

Ya way to late for a handle like that. I won't be able to do any trails I think that have the potential to rip it off anyways due to my RTT. I am going to add a pin tho
