Did any of you have any fitment issues with yours? Tried to get mine installed today and it doesn't fit. This is the second one. The first one that came , Tim ordered back before I even picked it up from Fastenal regarding some kind of problem he wanted to fix on it. The new one doesn't fit because the support that reinforces the bottom corner hits the pinch weld in the corner of the underside of the bed.
    EliteRearBumperProblem_zps43329a6e_e5568aeaefbcbe2fcd4dde887ada47de20ca5959.jpg

Instead of the way the bumper is in the picture, mine is where the red dotted line is or somewhere closer to that, and hits the pinch weld.

Did I miss somewhere that you need to cut the pinch weld? I can't slot out the mounting holes much more in any helpful manner, and even if i did i would need to grind the hell out of the top surface place to move it inward any more. The problem is vertical clearance.

If this is what was wrong with the first one, I'm pretty bummed the second one still doesn't fit.

    Wow no that is wrong.

The support should run exactly as that is pictured. Otherwise yes it'll hit the corners.

Do you have a picture to show is and Tim??

I didn't have to do any special fitment, cutting, or anything else for mine to fit. Fits pretty much like a glove. I'd have to go out and look, but I cant remember anything like you're talking about on my truck. Are you positive it isn't a repair job on your bed?

The bumper itself is awesome. It has taken a few impacts, from backing into rocks to being bumped at 15-20 mph from another vehicle and hasn't taken any damage (except some paint scraping off). Its definitely one of my favorite pieces of armor.

Now that I think about when I installed mine, I used a similar setup as you're using and I had the tie downs too high. I did have some issues with lining up the bolts, but once lowered to the correct height, it slid right on.

Yeah my front bumper was like that. This one definitely has fitment issues.

I'd snap a picture of the actual bumper and send it to Tim. If the support is not running closer to perpendicular to the bed side like it is shown in sander1036's photo, something seems amiss.

Yeah I did that, we're talking. Tim's a stand up guy and I know he will take care of it. I'm not trying to bash Tim or his product and still support Elite. I wouldn't be on my second bumper and have his stickers on my truck otherwise. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything here because I can't wait to get this thing on and put it to use!

Iirc you can, but you'd be better off using the integrated one behind the license plate if you're already gaving one built.
