    Hi
I have a 96 with 148xxx on it. Everything works fine, just one problem , I have the smell of burning plastic by the passenger engine compartment
side. I took apart the airbox and everything that's connected to it because
that's where the smell comes from. Everything there was ok. I can't see anything burning. It used to be only noticeable under the passenger door
by the tire when the hood was closed, now I can smell it on the drivers side.
    Any idea's would be appreciated.

you ran over a plastic bag and it melted onto the exhaust system somewhere

or you have a stuck brake pad or rear shoe, or burnt clutch, and that is what you are smelling

Check under the hood and at the headers and exhaust. If not check the harness under the hood

So I located the problem, it seems it's coming from the radiator. Right next to the top hose. I can't see any damage to it though. It runs the same , the temp level stays the same as it was when I bought it. I never had a car with a plastic radiator so I have no idea what that could be. Any one know how mucha radiator goes for. When I say burning I mean the smell of burning plastic
