I cannot for the life of me figure out which part to order for my transmission mount. Thought I ordered the right one from Rockauto and it turned out to be wrong. I have attached pictures of the mount i just pulled out and the one I ordered.

As you can see the one I ordered is just too wide at the mounting points, and the passenger side of the mount is way tall. And yes I did try to search the forums and it lead me to this point! I ordered the V6 mount because that is what my mount most closely resembles. When I look up the 4 cylinder mounts it looks nothing like the one that's on my truck now.

Truck is a 96 2.7 4x4 Manual Transmission Extended cab

I believe the Toyota part number is
    12371-0C020.

Yea and that's my issue. When I look up that part number i get a part that looks totally incorrect. But shows someone having the exact same problem as me. He ordered the part you listed FROM TOYOTA and got the right one.

However if I look up that part number on any site it shows me equivalent parts from other brands that just don't look right. It seems the whole internet is messed up on this one. For instance autosites tell me to order the Beck Arnley 104-1822 and once again that part looks flat out wrong from the picture. The Beck Arnley 104-1825 looks almost exactly right but that is listed for 93-98 T100s.

I believe the number to be correct. My only guess on the drawing or diagram being incorrect is that Toyota used one of the other mounts that were installed with different drivetrains.

Yea, the number may be correct if ordering through Toyota. But using that number to try to find 3rd party mounts doesn't seem to work. The pictures of all of those products seem to be the small mount that I believe is for the automatic transmission. They all look like this:

May have no choice but to go through toyota and pay a premium.

Well I think I found a solution. It seems like there is just an issue with the internet an a parts search for the 2.7L 4x4 manual transmission mount (W59). However if you search the 2.7L 4x4 4Runner everything comes up right. some possible mounts that look like they will work are:

    DEA/MRC A7279
    ANCHOR 8990

I think I am going to be ordering the ANCHOR an dwill see if it fits. And for reference these mounts look like this on the internet:

Hopefully this thread will help someone else in the future.

OP I'm guessing no news is good news and that mount fit?

I didnt end up ordering from rockauto for whatever reason. I got fedfup with them and ordered a part from eBay. eBay's purchase history sucks so I can't see the exact part I ordered, but I can see the title of what I purchased. Looks like I went with the 4runner part search and that part did fit. It's on the truck now and works great.
