NC Gazzer, Thanks for the info. Replacing the MAF was going to be my next step. I hope it works. I will report back and let everyone know.

Hi, my toy 2.4L has had this issue since I bought it, I have only had it for 2 years, all of the cap, rotor wires plugs are replace to new , don't remember the brand. But it runs really good I can get up to 65mph in 2nd gear, 5 speed stick. I love the truck, it only has about 166k miles, but I went over it after I got it. The only issue is the warm start, it will take several attempts and a lot of cranes . And if it sits for a month it will start up on 2 turn overs ever time. I keep the battery tender on it because I don't drive it much . But this is the only issue , except I replaced the leaf springs , one was broken , it can't hold much of a load without sagging springs, but thats another issue I keep trying to decide on. I got the leaf springs from a place in Kansas that make them to spec's they say, But my 2018 4Runner will carry twice the load without any problems . Sorry I regress . Any ideas ?

I will add it's the basic smallest engine , and long bed, standard cab, But it has guts for a small engine, I think 2.4L is the smallest they made, , after I did all the work I listed . I figured I got it really cheap so I have not worried about
