So I have a 96 regular cab with rusted out mounts to the point that the cab is resting on the frame....I know i need to replace brackets that weld to frame.

Looking for options of how to raise the cab enough to do what I have to without taking everything apart/off. Anyone done this before? Maybe not to the extent of mine but a how-to or idea to raise the bed would be appreciated.

    Thanks much!!

You should have enough room to lift things being real careful and with help to watch you don`t put pressure on things as you lift .

Once the mounting hardware is removed.

This was on my 2000 Tacoma there might have been a few other things I disconnected been a year or two

Your truck should be close to the same might have some slight differences.

This allowed me enough room to remove the old mounts on the frame and install new ones.

What is best way to raise the cab? One side at a time? With some wood and a jack?

6 mounts total on this I believe. 2 on both sides and two in front?

I've used a jack and wood blocks. Just be sure you don't lift it too far since there are a lot of things connected under there.
