Hey guys I'm having an issue with my Tacoma v6 5vzfe motor. Just to give you an idea my truck blew a headgasket about 2 months ago.I Bought a gasket kit, pulled the heads and had them checked for cracks which they were fine but they were warped so I had them machined. Also since I was in there I bought a timing belt set with a new water pump and thermostat. flushed the coolant system and put everything back together. All fluids were topped off and the truck fired right up. Got it up to operating temperature but it kept climbing. So I thought maybe the New thermostat wasn't working properly so I changed it. Still the same. Bought another water pump. Changed the clutch fan. Still the same. I'm to the point where I'm lost as to what is going on. Everything was done by the book. HELP a brother out!!!!!

Did you make sure that was not any debris left behind in any of the coolant ports with all the work that was done?

Check to make sure you don't have any obstructions blocking coolant.

Did you get an OEM thermostat? Try pulling it to see if this still happens.

Did you install the thermostat the right way? Burp the system with the heat on max and front end(radiator) higher than the back of the motor to remove air pockets and such?
