Removed the original toyota security system (did not have a remote for it) and Installed a Viper remote start system.

So you've got how much, like 3k into this? SUPER rad. Love this. I just picked up an 88 singlecab and I am happy to see these kinds of threads.

I'm not sure if it's the same with these trucks as it is with 2nd gens, but a lot of folks go with aftermarket UCAs to achieve better alignment specs after lifting.

I may be incorrect, but did you have a hard time with your truck going out of alignment when you installed aftermarket LCA bushings like OP?

I did. I bought Moog LCA bushings and the rubber appeared to be too soft? I could feel the LCA moving while driving. Then, I bought poly bushings and tried to use the Moog sleeves. But the mood sleeves are thinner wall than the Toyota versions and I enede up with a ton a play again. After that, I bought white line bushings for a 3rd gen 4runner. Since then, all has been good.

Oof, I'm sorry you had a KACHOW. Those LBJs were probably original, as was the timing belt.

Great build thread. I have an 01 and at first I did not like the first style of the first gens but come to really love them now. Love the wheel/tire combo on your truck.

Amazing build thread, the 96 is my favorite year! I had to hold back some tears when you tore off the tailgate letters but you won back over as it went on:thumbsup:
