I recently put a “new” 2.7 3rz jdm motor in the truck and have everything running well with no codes but when I accelerate near 2500 rpm’s it lags out and the rpm’s begin to fluctuate while still pushing higher slowly. I’ve replaced a myriad of components and basically my entire fuel system along with maf and tps but nothing seems to affect the lag so any ideas would be appreciated!

Rock sliders, bedliner, intake, turn signal mod, ARB front bumper, All-Pro Off-Road Pre-Runner Rear Bumper, Smittybilt X2O COMP wench (pun intended) W/Synthetic Rope, snorkel, OME 883'S, BILSTEIN 5100'S F/R, air bags, big 4,more to come.
I'd start simple, clean out the fuel tank and get some good fuel first, that could be an indication of something plugging up somewhere but since you redid all the components, it could be garbage fuel just keeps on gumming the works up.

No codes after I swapped my crankshaft sensor and injectors. Definitely possible I put a newer engine in. Was an n73 but the new one was slightly different
