New here..Not done this before. Thought I would advise you of the stats on my baby...affectionately know as: Mr. Truck!

-I drive this car on the road always or freeways.
-Wife bought it for me as a Christmas present...paid cash - walked on dealer 3 times! What a negotiator.
-As of now it is 17 years old with 196,000 miles. Jan 2013
-I drove it only on weekends for fun and golf as my company car was my normal car.
-Then my son started driving as his training vehicle at 16. He had rules! Only let him take it out with his buddies on 1 night per week as a driver. He went in the military after high school which retired the truck back to me full time.
    -
I left my work with a company car and drove it to work for 5 years.
-Then, took on a company car again.

-Daughter grew up and has used it for college for 2 years and 1 year of High School.

    Besides routine maintenance....
-Change Oil every 5k with Synthetic Mobil Oil since it was a baby!
-Replaced Shocks at 106K - Went with Bilsteins after hauling some dirt. Never did that before (haul dirt - as it is my golf car on weekends) Definitely noticed a bounce afterwards.

-First Real Repair: Cylinder Head Gaskets at 144,000! Leaking some oil! Got it done! about $900 with service at that time at dealer!

-Second Real Repair: Radiator at 162,000. Replaced with Toyota part. About $500 at dealer.

-Third Real Repair: Rack and Pinion at 196,000. $About 1200 at dealer.

All other repairs are routine maintenance. Yes did the water pump when I did the cylinder heads.

I know I am crazy to some of you...yet I always go to the dealer, pay through the nose..but know that it is done right the first time and full recourse is on their shoulders!

Preferred Tires and ones that I use: 235 70 R15 with 15" Chrome Rims.
    Never have towed anything!
Always sits in a garage at night!
Oh..it looks so good with great paint!

Never will sell it unless offered much much more than it's worth! It's my baby!
