I cannot find the horn/horns or wiring for it at the front grill/radiator ...any info would be appreciated..

My speedometer needle bounces around is it worth lubing or replacing cable???

    Google says:

On a 1997 Toyota Tacoma, the horn is located behind the front grille, tucked underneath the radiator support, and can be accessed by looking slightly to the right of the passenger-side headlight. You will see two horns, one higher and one lower, and they are typically mounted with a single bolt that also serves as their ground connection.

Dang you are SOL if someone cut the harness. Maybe someone will chime in with a wiring diagram so you can repair the harness and replace the horn or horns.

Remove the grille and look around the passenger headlight area. If it’s cut, you should be about to visually see 2 loose wire by the radiator support.

As for the bouncing speedometer, highly recommend replacing the cable. Lube will not help.

And make sure you have new clips to replace the ones that break when you remove the grill!

Not to be “that guy” but do you have a functioning horn? If so, activate it and see where the sound comes from.

If there was a previous owner(s) they could have added an aftermarket horn somewhere else.

Would be cool if you weren't required to bust out the Dremel to fit in an aux switch lol. So sad Toyota didn't put those in their first gen trucks...
