Nice Bill!! It's coming along quicker than mine is!!! All mine is doing is sitting in the driveway until I get money for a knock sensor!

Torque angle on these have VERY little tolerance, let's say you estimated and did both at 92 deg. That equals 184 deg total, which is 4 deg above spec, and can equal up to 25 lb-ft of torque. WAY too much, but there are ways of cheating the system. Most don't work. For example if you were to try to estimate the ratchet or breaker bar turning 90 degrees, you won't be able to take into account bending of the bar, and the changes in that bending as the bolt gets tighter. The only way to accurately measure torque angle is right at the bolt. However there are many mechanical angle meters that can be bought on Ebay and such for less than $20, for example
    Torque angle meter

So there really is no reason to NOT get one. Mine is a professional meter that used to be in a Chevrolet dealership, and is used constantly. A DIY jobber can get away easily with a basic one. For that price, there is no reason at all someone who is doing their own heads shouldn't pick one up to do the job right.

Well, first time didn't work. I am looking to see what the cause is. I know so far I have compression and spark, so I am checking fuel.

Well we have low compression on all cylinders. I checked with the builder and was told to redo all of the valve lash. That's SIXTEEN valves to re-lash....ugh!

OK, sorry for the long delay again. I found that my intake side valves all have incorrect lash, so I am waiting on new shims from Toyota to correct this. Should have the paint booth ready within a week, and the body is almost ready for primer.

Guys, I don't know WHY the stupid photobucket wont let me link the second video. I did the exact same thing I did before, but for whatever reason, it is not liking it and I keep getting a broken link. Until I figure it out, just click the link and watch my second attempt at starting my Tacoma.

Attempt #2 to start the Tacoma

She warmed up fine this evening. There is an oil leak from the timing chain tensioner seal, so I will have to address that tomorrow. Good thing is that she is running, and will be headed into the paint booth by next weekend!!!
