My 97 tacoma 2.7 4cyl with a has 240k miles. She's ran hot on me lately but only when on hwy or pulling a steep grade but randomly not everytime.

I've flushed her once drained after leaving flush in her for 3 days of norms driving. Used normal water not distilled.

She runs great for 2-3 days an DC then out of no where gets hot. I immediately get parked allow to cool then drive again, most of the time she's fine afterwards but sometimes she does it after a Lil bit.

Had new head installed 2 yrs ago, don't see water in oil, also I noticed when she first started it seemed when I used a she was getting warm.

It's not temp Guage or at least when it reads hot she's hot u can hear once stopped.
Any thoughts? I bought new radiator, thermostat, and cap and antifreeze but was waiting to see if I need to instsll.

Sounds like the thermostat is sticking.

Fan Clutch? Debris between the A/C Condenser and radiator?

Check to see if the fan is coming on at full power when it should - the clutches do have to be replaced after a "few years."
