Pic of my 99 Prerunner. I picked it up a few weeks back here in TN after we gave our son my 3rd Gen. Pic of my 3rd Gen also.

Dang, you're a great Dad!...will you adopt me? I'm pretty old and high maintenance, but know how to use a weed eater!

We couldn’t ask for a better son, he served his Country, awesome dad, and my best friend.

Finally finished buiding this '99 Taco. Couldn't find any better wheels to mount on this truck so I stuck with what's reliably pretty. Went with glossy for much easier cleaning out the many holes in this rim.

Replacing the front struts and want to know how to get the lower bolt back in? I’m having a hell of a time trying to get the lower A arm low enough to get it in. New LBJ also.

A long pry-bar (like 2-3 foot) over the UCA near the ball joint, seated under the UCA mount. Pull down on the bar to push the UCA, spindle, and LCA down.

I keep a 5or6’ 1” steel pipe for stuff like this. Pry down on the lower A arm because the bushings are tight enough to hold it in place. Once the weight of the truck is on it she’ll be fine. Also, do any spring compression on the ground as it’s easier

    4 run, 2 don't
Easy, bottle jack and push the entire assembly down.

Good thing those aren't taller shocks! Coilovers meant for a lift have an even tougher time.

Here is a picture of the back of my 99’ fender flares. These were only used on the 98’, 99’, & 2000 PreRunners. That’s why they are slimmer than the 01’ - 04’. They are fiberglass and not the ABS plastic.

I too am looking for the factory fronts for my 99’ PreRunner. I had a Polaris UTV hit my right front fender over the Memorial Weekend and cracked the fender flare. Hope you’re successful with your search!

Khail19, did you ever find the front flares you were looking for? I need the front factory flares you have for my 99’ PreRunner and would gladly buy yours should you decide to sell them! Hint hint!

Sharing my 99...bought it May of last year with 300k on the clock. Sold my 18 f-150 to get out of debt and this was the cash car to do it. Went from $700 truck payments to this.

Paid 3k for the truck...replacing front struts, rear shocks, cv axles. all seals in transfer case and front chunk. Alternator, 1 set of tires and a radio...Got about 4500ish in truck. Drive it 90 miles a day for work...sitting at 340k.

Truck has more than paid for itself. I have a 97 silverado 2wd my grandad left me as soon as it gets brakes and tires these will share daily duties. The paint sucks and would like to do a bed liner type paint and a lift with 33s since it won't be every day but this little 4wd has more than paid for itself.
