I just put 33's on mine. Also regeared to 4.88 as well. I couldn't imagine running 33's w/o a regear. Mine was already slow before with 31's and 3.91's

Many moons ago I had 33x1250s on my truck. I had an auto, then 5speed. It would hunt gears on hills, but really, if you are not in a huge hurry it was OK. If it where me, I'd run 5.29s and just let the 3rz rev.. 4.88a would be a happy medium though... I had 4.56 gears and they where not all that great...

I agree. After driving around just a few days on this set up I couldn't imagine having less than 4.88 especially since I'm at 5000ft elevation. I'm at 3200 rpm at 75 mph and the truck just cruises. I ran it w 31's for a week and it was only 200 rpm higher and still cruised easily and not any louder from the motor revving higher

Almost all OEM, I'm in the middle of restoring my Tacoma back to all original at the moment. I have put some thought into some after market lighting but its going to be as stealth down low mods as possible.

I had 32" MTs on my last 2.7 5-speed, but it was a 04 with 4.30s. What gears do you have?

Yeah I did. The Truck is 17 Years old and the paint wasn't in the best shape already so I wasn't too scared of messing it up. I used a putty Knife as flat to the body as possible and just pulled it away from the body of the truck. after that I just rubbed off all the residue with a house hold multi surface cleaner, and just cleaned the hell out of it. If you are looking for the shadowing of the emblems you can barely make it out, but you have to know what to look for and where they where. After I get it all waxed down I'm hoping it wont even be viable. My Only worry is the truck seems like its missing most of any layers of clear coat after all these years and the emblem locations are like factory fresh after being hidden all this time.

If you do plan on removing emblems and are looking for the best method without doing damage to the paint. Use a heat gun or blow dryer to make the glue in the emblem tape more workable then use fishing line to get behind them and work the emblem off. Off coarse with the heat gun don't go over board with holding it in one spot for too long.

Hair dryer took way too long and didn't do much at all. So just go with heat gun but don't be an idiot with it. Take your time but don't leave it sit in one spot move it around. Kind of like spray painting it but instead of paint its heat! :D

Ya I used my lady's blow dryer. But she don't mess around and has top of the line stuff when it comes to her beauty products so that thing works good! Lol it got hotter than my harbor freight heat gun. But I agree josh in most cases a quality heat gun will be better imo.
