Sucks brother - that thing was clean af too - if you want to go back to stock you can rework the core support to get the lights and fender / hood mounted again or you can just go with the trail rig theme and throw parts at it while building it up and making it look more functional than it is pretty. Either way junk yard is your friend for parts whether they're color matched or not - at least they're higher quality than aftermarket body panels.

I think I'll go back to stock for now, sucks that no junkyard in the nearest major city has a tacoma in stock

What front bumper is that? My front bumper is starting to show a little rust so I was considering an aftermarket one.

Cruising down a backroad with a few friends. Deer jumped out in front of me and I swerved (Mistake) to avoid it. Hit a patch of gravel while on the brakes and slid into a pole.

At least you and the deer were alright! Plus all your friends! Better than an avoidable accident - looking forward to see how you solve this problem!

He's running a 4xinnovations bumper, I know this because I've been debating pulling the trigger on one during their black Friday sale! (it also says it in his profile)

Curious to know if the Tundra brake conversion might have prevented this

Sounds pretty unfortunate. I think you should figure out a way to fix it. Maybe add some aftermarket customization along the way

It'll help you stop faster on grippy surfaces, but once you hit sand, there's so much less frictional force between your tire and the ground, it doesn't matter at that point what kind of brakes you have - the wheel can be locked up and it will still skid. That said, they do seem to make people impressed with the difference in braking power.

Sorry to see that. It's hard to not swerve to miss a large animal. It could have been much worse. Glad its still driveable and you weren't hurt. It still really does suck though.

I like that bumper a lot but I don't like how tall the grill guard is and how it leans outward. I like the Shrockworks grill guard portion better. I've thought about purchasing the 4x with guard and modify the guard . :)

Of course, it looks great without the grill guard too like on Bassed98's truck.

My thoughts exactly, I'd buy it without a grill guard and then make my own. I also like the Shrockworks one. I really like the look of the elite grill guard too.

Yep, I like the Elite bumper too, but I like the Shrockworks grill guard the best.

Just ordered a RTT and I think I’m going to run the black Thule Xsporter to be able to keep it low for travel and have the height for the annex when parked.

Hopefully be switching to a full OME soon. 881 with top spacer for full 3” and HD Dakars in the rear should sit well with RTT plus gear.

Anyone with a full 3” have a hub to fender measurement? Would like to double check my Fabtechs..
