Picked up this 2000 Prerunner couple of weeks ago for 4K. Took it to a 40 year Toyota tech I know in Kentucky to check it out. He said it is a solid truck. Had him replace the timing belt and VC gaskets and all the stuff that goes with that service. has 194K on it now. it was a work horse.

Fuel door swap. 2000 5spd 3rz 4WD. I like to think it is classy.

I hadn't thought of that. I was going to paint the wheels anyways. Great idea!

my close relative had very similar truck, just a 98 5sp 4cyl reg cab same color as yours
it failed the hammer in 2o11 after having it just 7 years but was also having major engine troubles at a relatively low mileage and a bad clutch already onit was just replaced before the bad frame word started blowing up across the country

I’m in the city too just west coast. There are a few OHV’s About an hour drive but the decent trails are 3 hours plus and that’s just to get to the trailhead.

Get out there! These trucks are capable stock

This is my '00 3.4 tacoma. It's a great truck. I was worried about the wheelbase length when I started building it, but the extra length is not a major problem on the trails I wheel in California.

Just learned of the 105A alternator retrofit, so can't wait to do that.
