If so where is it, and how hard is it to change? Pics would help. Tried search, but no first gens came up in the threads. Very confused, if you could not tell thus far.

Are you referring to a cabin filter?

The secondary filter is only on 2nd gens that's why 99.9% of the threads about it are in the 2nd gen section. Same thing for the cabin air filter.

No, the secondary air filter the other poster cleared me up. But do these 98 trucks have a cabin filter? If so I need to find it and replace it too.:) Thanks

When Toyota was making the 1st gens they weren't fooling around with silly things like cabin air filters and a secondary charcoal filters. They were mostly focusing on building a damn good truck.
