I have 14" coilovers. So that's probably why I ended up having issues with with the ruff stuff towers. I was bummed because I really like their towers. It's a good design and they are beefy. Oh well, i ended up sending them back.

Good thoughts about the hoops. I do not know if the fabricator added any more bracing. I haven't been back to the shop. I know for sure they were building a brace across above the engine connecting the two hoops.

About going with 1tons...i hear you :D It's a tuff decision and I went back and forward a lot before I made up my mind. It ain't cheap, but with 1 tons that's that last pair of axles you'll ever need

Here is a pic of my DS shock tower.
I did have to change the reservoir hose configuration after the Fox CO install but everything is where it needs to be.

    Looking good man.

I like what you did there. It looks really good. Those towers are really nice too.

I see the top of your coilover sits under the master cylinder. Mine sits farther to the front.

Front end is done. Only thing left is installing the ram and bleeding the system.

The angle between the panhard bar and drag link turned out great. They are as parallel as they can be:

Rear end is done - minus the shocks. Now waiting on drive shafts and rear shocks. When those are installed, she will be rolled out of the shop for a leg stretch with the fork lift for the final dialing of the suspension.

    Nice stuff here.

What are you planning on for the master cylinder and brake booster to push those rear discs?

I'm just thinking ahead before my Diamond rear shows up.

    Thanks.

Probably going to do the typical T-100 booster and master cylinder upgrade (need to do more research on it). I think it's a direct swap. Another option is a chevy upgrade , which is way cheaper, but i've heard mixed reviews about it.

So did you order a rear diamond axle?

Yes I did order the rear Diamond. They will weld the perches and shock tabs too, that will save me time.
Also, it's a full float w/ discs and 30 spline chromo axles, hence my question on the MC & booster.

I ordered it 3 weeks ago and Brian (FROR) said 4-6 weeks to build then ship. I hope to have it installed before Halloween.

I would find out what calipers you are getting on the diamond, the stock toyota stuff may work. My stock stuff works great with my 80 rear discs.

Progress looks good on the truck 1999regcab!

If you get that diamond axle in 4-6 weeks that will be a new record :D Perhaps they build rear axles faster. Yours will be sweet though! Chromo shafts, full floater, disk brakes, etc...you'll have a pretty solid axle.

Also, thanks for the compliments guys, really appreciate it. Slowly getting there.

... forgot to say, the trucks lookin' cool.
I never saw the little things taking so much time/ attention after my 'hard parts' were finished. Do you foresee much of that adding up?

The "fine tuning" will prob take a bunch more of time and $$$ :(

... mucho time & cash. The little things totally blew my budget for the build too.

    Good luck.

Yea, it's insane. I'm not even keeping track of numbers anymore. It's too painful. But denial is very comforting :D

But this hobby is still "cheaper" than racing or owning a boat or an aiplane haha.

Last pic for now. Notice the top of the head of my fab guy in relation to the driver front tire and bottom corner of the bumper. Keep in mind that's a 40" tire, and he is standing straight. Both tires in the rear are flat on the ground. By the way, He really knows his craft; great fabricator.

This leg stretch was primarily to check measurements for drive shafts. Fine tuning of the suspension is next.
