Another problem that has been getting gradually worse over the past 10 days or so:

When I start the truck, cold or hot, there is a clicking sound WHILE it starts. In other words, the truck starts strong, but there is clicking through the start. It's a similar sound to that of a bad starter or a dead battery, but again, the truck (for now) cranks up like a champ, no different than it did before making this noise. It was happening only every 3rd or 4th start, now it happens every time.

Starter is maybe 3 years old tops (replaced by previous owner, a friend), and the truck has 120k on it. Probably less than 15k on the starter.

    Any ideas?

I had this issue on a Subaru and the cause was a bad battery. Everything ran fine and there were zero indications of a bad battery until one day it started randomly dying.
